Sea Doo Installation Instructions
Lenco Marine’s SD TT 12X9 E trim tab kit has been engineered to fit most pre-2003 Sea Doo Jet Boats. Please contact Lenco’s technicians at 722-288-2662 if you have any questions about your specific Sea Doo installation. Care must be taken before installation to make sure that your kit will line up properly. Two notched hinges are provided in each kit. The notch is designed to fit around the Raybud drain flange on the transom. All others will use the off center hinge on the right side. The notch in the hinge has no negative effect on the performance of the tabs.
Speedster 16' (4.8 m)
The hinge with the notch directly in the center is mounted on the right side of the 16' Speedster only.
CHALLENGER 18' (5.49 m)
Standard trim tab installation.
UTOPIA 18.5' (5.64 m)
You should mount the actuator upper brackets with the shims provided so the actuators don’t bind on the transom (two per side to make one parallel spacer, using 2-1/2" (6.35 cm) screws.) Keep bracket straight and do not over tighten inside screw. Fill gap in with 5200 type bedding material (adhesive caulking).
CHALLENGER 20' (6.1 m)
You must remove the Raybud drain rime and square off the bottom flange to the inner thru-hull to achieve the correct hinge placement.
ISLANDIA 22' (6.71 m)
Standard trim tab installation.
***Note: Exhaust can blow out onto tab without effecting performance***
